Week two in Eswatini was the similar routine as the first week! We started out on Monday with our Ask the Lord day and we got to have several conversations with people in the park, in the markets and got to get to know people! At lunch we also handed out some food to people we felt led to. We finished that day with the usual grocery shopping for the week, dinner and team time.
The rest of the week we were at our care points! We had the opportunity in the morning to go on some home visits. What that looks like is going to a home of one of the kids at the care point and then talking and praying with them. In Eswatini culture you aren’t supposed to go to a home without bringing something to give them so thankfully our ministry host gave us rice, beans and oil to take with. We also went on a prayer walk throughout the community and had conversations with people as well as prayed with them.

There has been a lot of things that has been out of my comfort zone. Someone told me before I left that if I am going on a long term trip that I will become used to being comfortable in the uncomfortable. That is something that I am still trying to get used to! Sharing Jesus with those around us is what we are called to do as followers of Christ in this world and leaning on Him to guide and direct can be exciting but also uncomfortable. I have been trying to grow in this area and rely more on God when it comes to talking and understanding people but it is something I will always be striving to get better in.

We ended the week with a worship night and then a trip to a cultural village on Saturday!

Life here in Eswatini is simple and slow. We pretty much stick to the same routine everyday but through it all I am reminded of Gods faithfulness in every season no matter what it looks like!
